Three weeks after the release, Apple updates iPhone Software 2.0 to address numbers of issues.

Details are a little bit sketchy at this moment, but it is expected for Apple to address the stability and performance issue regarding the iPhone Software.

The update is available through iTunes with iPhone/iPod touch plugged-in.

Another note of interest, that there are two different iPhone Software 2.0.1 for the iPhone and iPhone 3G.

iPhone Software 2.0.1 for iPhone 3G is labeled iPhone1,2_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw.

Power up the store and start the upgrade. I wonder will it remember my settings? Either way thanks automatic team.

Web 2.0 Whatnot

Your rating: None

I got an iPhone this weekend, and now I find myself swimming in a sea of Web 2.0 - you know, that lowercase, twitterific, round-cornered, how-is-this-making-any-money, privacy-what's-privacy thing currently popping up like mushrooms all over the Internet? Yeah, that. There are so many shiny little logos to choose from in the iTunes App store. On which productivity-enhancing widgets will I squander my time on next? So far I've sampled urbanspoon, Remember the Milk, Jott, reQall, Bloomberg LP, Remote, and WordPress.

A geek and his iPhone

Just before I made the leap into the wide, wide world of blogging I dabbled a bit in the iPhone social networking scene by way of a place called iRovr. It was a pretty neat place to hang out for awhile, but the public stream would often degenerate into banality, with users posting inane topics just for the sake of posting. I didn't stay for very long and now call Word Press and Facebook home.

Still, the idea of micro- or moblie blogging is very appealing, since places like iRovr allow you to easily share video, bookmarks, photos and other links rather effortlessly right from the comfort of your iPhone. And you're always guaranteed an audience, since people troll the public streams night and day.

Come on Apple, what gives???

For a long time Apple supporter and dare I say it, Fanboy, I am starting to get a sick feeling in my gut about the direction Apple seems to be going.

We have all had run-ins with Apple's "customer service". I personally spent three days on the phone trying to exchange an 24" iMac after two previous ones were defective. (I gave up and got a MacPro)
