My nightmare experience trying to get an iPhone 3G on launch day
I know this is well after the launch day of the new iPhone but I wanted to post about my experience of trying to get one that day.
I arrived at the Apple store around 5:45 am and was 15th in line. An Apple employee came around asking us to make sure we were upgrade eligible. I knew I was eligible but went ahead and called AT&T anyways just to make sure. I was happy to learn that I was indeed eligible to purchase the new iPhone. I do no have a corporate or business account and do not have any discounts attached to my phone. I am a current iPhone owner and have been so since 2 weeks after its launch a year ago.

Cut-price iPod
I haven't had a chance to play with the iPod Touch - but compared to my 80gb iPod 4th gen, I find the iPod functionality of the iPhone 3G lacking in many ways.
Firstly, and for me numero uno is the inability to view track/album/podcast info. In particular I find this useful when previewing podcasts (the main use by far for my iPod) where show notes, URLs etc can be invaluable. Furthermore many podcasts episodes can have nothing more than a date and number to differentiate them from others in a series. I can see no obvious reason for removing this facility given that it's simply meta-data that could be viewed from a number of diffrent routes (much the same way contacts info can be).

Blog mobile
I've just downloaded the wordpress blog application onto my iPhone which means I can now blog anywhere on the move. I can even take pictures on my iPhone and upload them instantly. I'm looking forward to getting back into blogging now that it's so much simpler to do. Watch this space.
Bible 1.1
Available In: App Store
Price: Free
If you’re looking for a free Bible app then this is the app for you. Most others cost and some are pretty expensive. There is a pretty big downfall to this app; it only works when you have an internet connection. Thankfully the app’s description page in the App Store says [...]
A Sunday Drive
Last week my 1966 911 came back from the repair shop. My car has been a "garage queen" for many years. Now it's running, and I've vowed to drive it more often, as letting the car sit undriven for long periods is really a crime.
This weekend Jessica and I are waiting for the baby to arrive. With nothing else planned, today looked perfect for a Sunday drive. We headed out for a drive and brunch at our favourite pub. The car was running quite well. After brunch we picked up a few things at the grocery store, and headed back to the car. Happy to head out on the road again, we snapped a couple of pictures.
