My Saturday, how was yours

So I had a good nap in the morning ... And woke up for some golfing.... Had a big big traffic jam on Cplima again ><
Well that traffic drove my golfing spirit away :(
So I got some tea after lunch and went home.
At night they have a dinner gathering so... Dispite my laziness I went along. Leo's lil neise is so cute. Right.

That conclues my day, back to ffxi now.

Taking Screen Shots on your 3G iPhone ...

Your rating: None

Press an h old down the "home" button on the face of your iPhone and then click the on/off button at the top. The screen will flash white, probably intended to seem like a photo flash. Now switch to your Photos application, your screen shot will be in the "camera roll".

You can do all the usual things you can do with Photos: Sync back to iPhoto, email out your images etc.

1. Make sure you are on firmware 2.0, which is a free download from iTunes or $9.99 for iPod Touch. Look around for a free download from ProjectW

2. Download the Cracked app (below) and extract the "BomermanTouch.app" folder to your desktop.

3) Copy "BomermanTouch.app" into /Applications via SSH and set its permissions to 775 (CHMOD 755)

4) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permission to 777 (CHMOD 755)

5) Reboot your iPhone/iPod Touch

iPhone extravaganza

Greetings, world! This is the first post from my new iPhone. She needs a name. So far in the family, we have Penelope the MacBook, Olivia the iMac, and Annabelle the external hard drive.

Any suggestions?

dear Steve Jobs, I hate you.

Picking a wireless carrier is like gambling, sometimes you pick a winner other times you crap-out. I chose T-mob back in the early 00's. Yeah, I get great customer service but that comes with a price apparently. Horrible selection of phones and no 3g. Now I read on the interwebz that Verizon is bundling up with Qwest and offering to pay your termination fee if you switch. Great. What does Verizon have going? Oh yay! I can watch television on a 2 inch screen while I commute wonder how much that fuck all service cost?

The Pandora iPhone App and the Death of the Radio

Your rating: None

So this morning I waited in line to get the brand new iPhone 3G.  For those of you who just have to know, I opted for the black 16 gig version.

One reason why I wanted to upgrade was that 3G unlocks a lot of options for you that you don't get with EDGE.  You're naturally going to be able to download more data to your phone A LOT faster.

I had downloaded the Pandora Radio iPhone App to my older phone but there were constant delays in playing songs as the phone had to catch up with the song it was downloading.

Now on the iPhone 3G, I can listen to music on Pandora seamlessly just as if I was listening to Pandora from my computer.    This is GAME CHANGING.

Traveling food

With the terrible exchange rate, I won't be traveling to Europe any time soon, but that doesn't stop me from reading stories on budget travel while I save up for a vacation in like 2012. Or maybe sooner if Elizabeth and I can figure out how to use Elena's connections to sell iPhones in Ukraine. But unless we make a lot of money on the phones, it will be all baguettes and beer (not that that's a bad thing).

Summertime livin'

The life of a slacker: yesterday I rode the Bainbridge ferry over and back, just for fun, with some friends who are visiting Seattle for the weekend.

Afterward, I met up with theCultFigure at another friend's house for a cookout and oyster party.

I took a few photos with my iPhone camera. It's funny, I never before considered carrying around a camera as part of my permanent purse stash. Having an okay-but-not-great camera in my phone is slowly making me more prone to snapping casual shots while out and about.
