iPod Touch and iPhone / iPhone 3G Firmware 2.0.2 is out.
I am in the slow process of downloading and when I have it running I'll let you know of any improvements. iPod Touch Fans tells me it's just bug fixes.

Download is 246.3MB! Sucking on my poor bandwidth again.

I'll also let you know whether or not you'll need to restore you're iPod (highly likely.)

Somewhat surprisingly (from my vantage point at least), Apple has released iPhone firmware 2.0.2.  According to MacRumors, there are "subjective reports" that the interface seems faster than 2.0.1.  But the firmware update doesn't make explicit mention that this solves the iPhone 3G's connectivity issues, which according to Apple is affecting two percent of users (about 60,000 iPhone 3G owners).

Apple has released the 2.0.2 firmware for the iPhone, the update is listed as "Bug Fixes". (no crap)

Who knows if this will help with the 3G connectivity issues that have plagued me and thousands of others!

WTF is the deal with Apple releasing updates that they describe as having "bug fixes?" If there wasn't any "bug fixes" in their updates, we wouldn't download and install them now would we? Just tell us what your updates fix so we don't have to speculate about it.

Enough ranting.

Apple released the latest firmware for the iPod Touch and the iPhone just after 5PM Eastern today. It's a large update (almost 250MB) so make sure you have something to read while it downloads. Word on the net is that this is NOT the fix for 3G reception issues. We'll have to wait and see if that is the case. You can download the update from iTunes.

Apple releases iPhone Software 2.0.2 today. The update weighs in at 247.8MB for iPhone 3G and available through iTunes.

Apple describes the update contains "bug fixes" without any further explanations.

Be sure to back-up your iPhone before applying this update.

genaus genau war das letzte update. Mal schauen was es bringt.

In 4th August, Apple announced that the iPhone Firmware 2.0.1 is available, now another update is available, the version 2.0.2 that is describes as a bug fix release. You can download this from the iTunes or directly from Apple's servers.

If you have jailbreaked your iPhone, obviously the iPhone will not stay unlocked and jailbreaked. Hopefully the Dev-Team will release the Pwnage Tool 2.0.3 soon.
