I just got a note that Qik just shipped into beta on the iPhone. I'll be testing this out and will let you know what I think. One thing, the quality isn't expected to be as good as what I get on my Nokia phones for two reasons:

1. The compression is being done in software on the iPhone, where on Nokia phones there's hardware support for that.
2. The camera isn't close to as good, particularly in low light.

But, that said, lots of people only have iPhones, and don't have Nokia phones, so this will let a lot of people do streaming video from their cell phones that couldn't do it before.

Sorry I haven't been writing much lately.  Unless I can find time to do it on my iPhone while nursing, I don't have time for the internet these days.  As you may or may not know, the entire Colorado National Guard is preparing to be activated for the Democratic National Convention.  We will be working in support of local law enforcement agencies, blah blah blah, command information.

What this means for me is

a) two weeks without seeing Elijah, even though I'll only be about a half hour's drive from home 

b) I won't be able to participate in any of the DNC demonstrations with any of the organizations I belong to

c) I am busy as hell at work getting ready for this enevitable madhouse

ScanLife has finally released their 2D barcode reader for the iPhone.  Until now it was available for a host of other phones but now you can hit the App icon and download it for free.

Not to worry, I still love Wordpress!  I just wish that the Wordpress Blog Stats where as detailed as the Google Analytics.  One of my main complains is that the graphs are flash (opposed to JPEG, GIF, etc) and I cannot copy them here that easily.
