NeoReader - A new 2D barcode reader App for Apple's iPhone
streetstylz just wrote to let us know that the NeoReader is now available for Apple's iPhone. I just checked the iTunes store and sure enough, if you search for NeoReader, it pops right up. I have yet to take it for a test run but my guess is that it works just fine. Yahoo has the press realease in case you are interested in reading more about it.
iPhone, you phone, Steve says buy an iPhone
I'm getting back in the swing if things. Almost two weeks without an iPhone or any phone really (with the exception of my bberry from work that should be in the smithsonian) has really been rough. But, I'm the proud new parent of a 16gig white iPhone and the process was definitely smoother than you'd think given all the fanboy bitching that's been going on.
I have to say, so far things are great.
We'll see how things turn out.
More Information?
When I'm on a trip away somewhere (such as the one to Newquay), I'll not only be posting text and pictures, but I'll also be posting by whereabouts on Google Maps. This is just to make the Blog that little bit more interesting and I'm someways, interactive.
I'll be trying out a program called "InstaMapper" too. This shows any GPS data on my Facebook profile.
Midsummer Gadget Fest
Being a first generation iPhone (jailbroke and unlocked) user for over the past 6 months, I have to say the amount of technical knowledge required is way beyond what Apple is targeting. First you have to understand iPhone runs a version of Mac OS X (which is itself a derivative of FreeBSD ) You see where I'm going?
Test Round for GPS
I just got back from playing my first test round at Heron Links using TeeShot's GPS features which will be in version 1.5. I found a few issues that I will definitely fix before it is released, but in general it worked pretty well. I was tagging the GPS location of the greens on this little par 3 course while also tracking my shot distances.
